Psychosynthesis Counselling in Greenwich
Hi I’m Rosie and I’m a trainee counsellor studying at the Institute of Psychosynthesis in London. I offer counselling sessions in Greenwich - a space for exploring self understanding with a view to finding relief and compassion.
My approach to Counselling
People come to counselling for many different reasons and I believe it is a courageous thing to do to explore understanding yourself in this way. My approach is gentle and compassionate and I would be honoured to walk alongside you during this inquiry. Whatever your reason for seeking out therapy I encourage you to explore and trust yourself in finding the right person for you.
Psychosynthesis counselling is a holistic way of working with a person. In this counselling approach we consider your past wounds and there is the opportunity to have reparative experiences with your counsellor and in the relationship that is built up. If you wish to bring more understanding to your past, I will hold you through this enquiry but always with an eye on also bringing in something new – some more compassion, some more acceptance, some more self-belief. In this way psychosynthesis counselling seeks to bring understanding and compassion to the past and present in order to bring more hope and curiosity about the future. I will help you explore what are the most loving choices you can make for yourself today.
Psychosynthesis counselling is also holistic in that it is interested in all aspects of a person – what is going on somatically in the body, what is going on in the feelings and also what is going on in the mind. The wisdom of the body is included in the enquiry into soothing old wounds.
While psychosynthesis counselling values the mind and how it can help us plan, it also greatly values the more mysterious side of us, the understanding that comes to us through intuition, inner knowings and inner nudges. In a psychosynthesis counselling session these inspirations are valued, cared for and given space. The wisdom of the body and feelings is also included in the inquiry into how to move forward in a way that serves our true self.

What’s with the pictures of the seasons?
The seasons show us a natural and inevitable cycle. There is a time when something emerges, a time when it grows, a time to enjoy and gather in what has grown and then a time to rest before the next emergence. For me this cycle is also inevitable in all of us and in all of our lives. Being reminded of the seasons can help us to see the challenges and the joys of life from a bigger and gentler perspective and remind us where we have agency.
